2021 Live Virtual Supervisor Training and Employee Educational Program Schedule

 

Welcome to the HelpPeople 2021 training schedule season! The HelpPeople trainings available to all members will be offered on the following Thursday mornings from 10:00 am – 11 am.   The dates for the trainings will be March 4th, June 3rd, September 2nd, and December 2nd. All trainings will be held virtually and a link to the trainings will be forwarded to the email of all participants upon registration. A sampling of HelpPeople courses and course descriptions available to HelpPeople members can be found under the training tab on the home page.

Thursday, March 4, 2021 10 am–11 am Managing Stress in Unprecedented Times; Learn how to deal with the stressors associated with having to balance home, work and family through an extremely difficult time. Coping with the experiences of stress, anxiety and family functioning will be examined as will strategies for communicating with family members, co-workers and supervisors.

 

Thursday, June 3, 2021 10 am–11 am Drug and Alcohol Use in the Workplace; The focus of this presentation is on drug and alcohol use as it pertains to incidence and prevalence of use and abuse in the workplace.  Skills in identifying employees under the influence of drugs and alcohol and coming off of utilization will be discussed.  Examining how to intervene in assisting the compromised employee in a supportive and helpful manner will be provided.

 

 

Thursday, September 2, 2021 10 am-11 am Supervisor Skills Training; Examine the unique role that supervisors play in dealing with employees on multiple of levels.  From team building, to steering and development, and ultimately providing positive discipline when necessary will all be evaluated.  Tools and documentation will be closely discussed.

 

Thursday, December 2, 2021 10 am-11 am: Navigating Work, Family and The Holidays During Times of Stress;  Participants will discuss how all the parts of one’s life can come together in a harmonious manner in order to enjoy and foster the enjoyment of others during the holiday time of year.  Looking at our expectations of ourselves and others both at home and at work will allow us to re-appreciate the potentials that can be easily lost during stressful times.
